STETSON – BORN IN THE WEST
The brand was established in 1865 by John B. Stetson, who is credited with creating the precursor to the modern cowboy hat. Born into a family of hatmakers in New Jersey, he learned the trade from his father. In 1850, after being diagnosed with tuberculosis and in search of fresh air, he moved West. There, he started a hat repair business but soon moved into manufacturing. The business proved so successful that within just over a year, he required larger premises. Today, STETSON products are sold worldwide and are especially valued by enthusiasts of Western style.
CRAFTSMANSHIP BASED ON VALUES
John B. Stetson stood out from other manufacturers of the time due to his commitment to ensuring high quality at an affordable price and his genuine concern for his employees and the community. His dedication to the craft was surpassed only by the strength of his moral values. From the very beginning of the factory, Stetson provided employees with housing, education, and healthcare. Today, his noble mission is continued by the Bulova Stetson Foundation, which provides support to veterans returning from war, students, artists, and others.
TIMELESS WESTERN STYLE
As in 1865, STETSON still embodies the authentic American spirit today. Handmade cowboy boots are produced to the same standards as the legendary Western-style hats, using time-tested techniques. High-quality cowhide is used for footwear production, along with exotic materials such as python, elephant, and fish leather for a unique touch. It is no surprise that STETSON footwear speaks of individuality, freedom, and courage. According to the manufacturer, it is designed for people with character.
