Care

Ducanero footwear is characterised by its handcrafted quality and naturally aged leather, which requires gentle care. After wearing, clean the surface with a soft brush or a damp cloth and lightly nourish the leather with Saphir wax or cream to maintain its colour and texture. Avoid aggressive cleaning products and excessive polishing. For more detailed care tips, please contact us or visit our shop.

About the brand

DUCANERO – THE LEGACY OF ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP

The DUCANERO brand was launched in 2011, but its history dates back more than three decades. It all started with Gabriele Camerlengo, whose craft was taken over and continued by his brothers Marco and Matteo. It is an Italian-born Camerlengo family business, driven by long-standing traditions, knowledge passed down from generation to generation, and the craftsmanship of artisans. DUCANERO men's and women's shoes are made in Monte San Giusto, in the Marche region, which has been famous for its footwear and clothing manufacturing traditions since the Middle Ages.

TOUCHED BY THE HANDS OF MASTERS

DUCANERO uses only high-quality leather and unique cutting, washing, and dyeing techniques to manufacture its shoes, which gives them a luxurious look and long service life. The entire process, from design to the final details, is entrusted to highly skilled craftsmen. The product passes through the hands of over 200 people, ensuring impeccable quality. According to the manufacturer, the shoes have a history even before they are worn – they were conceived by creative minds and made by skilled hands, which makes them even more valuable.
COLOR – DUCANERO BUSINESS CARD
The uniqueness of the products lies in the dyeing process called "tinto capo". This technique involves dipping individual pieces of leather into dye, each time producing a unique result. When high-quality leather meets bright, strong colors, magic happens - the leather absorbs the dye and takes on rich, vintage shades that make each pair of shoes unique.

RETURN TO CRAFTSMANSHIP

DUCANERO combines artisan traditions, craftsmanship, and contemporary aesthetics, encouraging a return to craftsmanship, to what is long-lasting, durable, and proven. It is a tasteful choice for both sophisticated and everyday looks.

Why is this shoe special?

Calfskin
Leather / Material

Calfskin

Fine-grained, vegetable-tanned calf leather is soft from day one, so the shoes do not need to be "broken in." It breathes, adapts to the shape of your foot, and, when regularly nourished with cream, it does not wear out but rather improves with age: it develops a deep patina unique to your pair.

Soft rubber sole
Sole

Soft rubber sole

The soft rubber sole absorbs the impact of your step and is slip-resistant even on wet pavement. The classic look remains unchanged—only with significantly more everyday comfort than a traditional hard sole.

Blake stitch construction
Structure

Blake stitch construction

The sole is stitched directly to the upper from the inside, making the shoe flexible from the very first step while maintaining an elegantly slim silhouette. Most importantly, a cobbler can resole them, meaning a pair will last for decades, not just seasons.

Made in Italy
Origin

Made in Italy

Handcrafted in a small family workshop in the Marche region – the heart of Italian shoemaking. Each pair goes through 100 manual operations: from leather cutting to the final polishing. Not an assembly line, but a craft passed down from generation to generation.
