The brand’s story began over 250 years ago with the birth of Miller Christy, a legendary hatmaker, in Haddington, Scotland, in 1748. As a young man, he mastered the secrets of felt-making in Edinburgh. To apply his expertise, he partnered with Joseph Storrs in 1773 to establish the "Christys' Hats" factory. In 1850, Prince Albert first wore a CHRISTYS’ top hat, cementing this headwear as a staple of the British gentleman’s attire. As fashion gradually shifted towards more relaxed styles, the brand expanded its range. One of its most popular models, the "Trilby," is still crafted using the same traditional methods as in the past.
